American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE)

"A national non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the renewable energy sector through market development, policy changes, and financial innovation."

 

American Solar Energy Society (ASES)

A "community of solar professionals and enthusiasts dedicated to enabling a 100% renewable energy society in the United States."

 

International Solar Energy Society (ISES)

The world's largest international solar organization dedicated to "product research that has helped the renewable energy industry to grow."

 

North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP)

An organization that "offers entry level knowledge assessment, professional certification, and company accreditation programs to renewable energy professions." Also "known as the 'gold standard' for PV and Solar Heating Installation and PV Technical Sales Certification."

 

Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA)

An organization focused on magnifying the "positive impact of distributed energy resources" by combining them "with a focus on grid modernization."

 

Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) 

The national solar trade association in the United States, representing all organizations that "promote, manufacture, install and support the development of solar energy."

 

Solar Energy International

A nonprofit organization that "provides industry-leading technical training and expertise in renewable energy to empower people, communities, and businesses worldwide."  Offers training and certification for solar professionals.

 

Solar Power International

An organization dedicated to generating "success for solar energy professionals and the global solar industry."  They annually hold the "fastest growing and largest solar show in North America as recognized by Trade Show Executive and Trade Show News Network."

 

Solar Powering America

"An interagency initiative between the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S> Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the Environmental Protection Agency to support greater solar deployment."

 

The Solar Foundation

A "nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to advancing solar energy use worldwide" through research, leadership, capacity building, the National Solar Jobs Census, SolSmart, the Solar Training Network, Solar Ready Vets, and CivicPACE.

 

U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) SunShot Initiative

"A national effort to drive down the cost of solar electricity and support solar adoption."

 

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Green Power Partnership

"A voluntary program that encourages organizations to use green power as a way to reduce the environmental impacts associated with conventional electricity use in return for technical assistance and recognition."

Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Renewable Energy Credit Program

"ERCOT acts as the program administrator of the Renewable Energy Credit (REC) trading program, which was established by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) to (1) promote an additional 2,000 megawatts of new renewable energy capacity to be built in Texas by 2009, to be increased to 10,000 megawatts by 2025; and (2) allow customers to have access to providers of energy generated by renewable energy resources."

SECO offers educational resources, trainings, programs, reports, and incentive information for renewable energy.

A non-profit organization that educates, empowers, and encourages citizens regarding solar energy.

 

Texas Solar Power Association (TSPA)

"A statewide industry trade association that promotes the development of solar electric generation in Texas."

North Texas Renewable Energy Group (NTREG)

As the North Texas Chapter of the Solar Energy Society, "the mission of North Texas Renewable Energy Group is to further the development of renewable energy, sciences and technologies with concern for the ecological, social and economic fabric of our community and state. NTREG promotes renewable energy through the exchange of ideas and information at meetings, discussion group and public and private events."
